The past few days we have had a little bit of excitement! Tuesday night the K9 Unit was 4 or 5 houses down the street looking for a wanted man! My friend and I were about to go on our nightly stroll when we observed this happening and the neighborhood next door came hurrying back from that part of the street with her dogs. My neighbor is a small woman and she had left her house unlocked while she took the dogs for a walk and was now nervous that the man might have gone into her home. I had also left the house unlocked when I left. (If you can't tell we live in a very low crime area... ) My friend and I said we would go check her house out with her. And while we were out we could see the loverly remodel of her bathrooms! We checked every room and closet and got the giggles as we did! We could take on a wanted man... NOT! After checking the neighbors house we went through are house and there were no intruders. (The K9 Unit didn't seem to get a hit on the scent so we were safe for our walk! LOL
The next night my friend couldn't go walking because of the birthday party going on down the street in the opposite end of the street! There were little kids riding on the golf cart that was being sent around to the elderly people in the neighborhood so they didn't have to walk or drive their cars right up to the door. (There are a lot of elderly in our neighborhood!!!) I went outside to get the mail and saw my next door neighbor (same one from the night before) and a neighbor from the circle across the street were checking out a black SUV in front of the neighbors house while on the phone with the police and a patrol car coming up from behind very slowly. I realized that whoever was in the black SUV most have been the wanted man from the night before! Then things started getting really exciting! The police woman and the officer from the K9 Unit opened up the driver's door identified who they were and told him to get out of the car. The "Bad Guy" was high on drugs and aggressively attacked the police officer! I was still standing in the yard when I realize that a van and a truck are coming fast down the road! I immediately yell to the police officers that the van and truck were coming and coming fast! Oops!!! They were plain clothes officer coming to help! They ended up having to tas the "Bad Guy" to get him to comply and made it so they could arrest him! We ended up with 5 police vehicles, a fire engine, and an ambulance right in front of the neighbors and my home!!! Then things started to dawn on me that the "Bad Guy" had been in the neighborhood the whole time!!! That Kathy, Vivienne, and I were not equipped to take on the man that had taken several officers and a taser to get him into compliance!!! We all have decided we are going to lock our doors for now on as nowhere is safe anymore!!! (AND JACK BOWER CANNOT COME TO SAVE THE DAY!!! LOL)

I have been having a wee bit of issues with my anxiety... Costco, Walmart, and well most grocery stores have been a little bit overwhelming lately... I know I am not alone on this one because other people have commented on how the large stores can be overwhelming!!! Thank goodness for delivery!!! In this new and service oriented chapter we have gone into her in the USA is fantastic for people with anxiety!!! Then out of the blue one of my friends that I am related to through marriage (extended family is awesome!!!) I am sent the most perfect T-Shirt for my T-Shirt Therapy!!! Thank you Robyn!!! Being able to not take myself seriously helps so much when anxiety is starting to take over my world! I managed to get groceries delivered until I could start going back into the stores! (I actually made it into a store, made purchases, and got home before my anxiety kicked in! I didn't have to take xanax! I was able to deal with it with breathing, watching tennis, and taking it easy!) Next time it will be a grocery store that has more than 6 people!!! LOL |
